Product Review: TGIN Butter Cream Daily Moisturiser

Posted by Amanda Akiwumi on

TGIN (Thank God It’s Natural) is a black female owned company based in America. It was founded by Chris-Tia Donaldson, a Harvard law graduate who began making her products after being unable to find products for her own textured hair.

This was the first product I tried from the TGIN brand, it’s a creamy moisturiser with shea butter, aloe vera, coconut oil and sweet almond oil. Consistency wise it’s not too thick or heavy so my hair wasn’t weighed down or greasy after using it. I found that my type 4 hair absorbed the cream and felt softer and easier to style. Personally, I haven’t had to use this more than 3 times a week as my hair feels moisturised for a few days after applying it. It’s become my go-to moisturiser.

I love the smell of this product you can really smell the sweet almond oil and coconut oil in this. Overall, this is a great moisturiser for type 4 hair and I think it is light enough to not weigh down type 3 curls either.

You can purchase this moisturiser from the Neriah Beauty shop
